About Me

Hello! My name is Disheng (Edison) Huang. Before I came to the USA, I was awarded a Master's Degree in Statistics and Computational Finance from University of York in UK. After that, I earned another Master's Degree in Complex System and Data Science @ University of Vermont in 2019. Currently, I work as a Statistical Analyst @ Sumitomo Pharma Oncology (SMP Oncology) in Boston, USA. My research interests are Clinical Trial Development, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Web Development, Software Development, Database Development, Blockchain, Metaverse, XR and AGI.

My Career

Data Analyst (Three Month Internship)

I collected and entered volunteer data to the database based on the surveys. I developed the programming code to check the data quality. I used statistical methods to perform the safety and efficacy analysis. I helped to design and comply safety and efficacy reports.

Data Engineer (Five Month Internship)

I helped to build a data pipeline to extract, transform and load (ETL) the data from the database. I helped to build and train the machine learning models. Some data visualization tools were developed to drive the decision making.

Statistical Analyst (Sep 2019 - present)

I provided statistical support for safety team, clinical team and data management team. I created the patient summary trackers for the enrollment, discontinuation, and death. I helped to develop the patient profiles for team to do the data review. I created lots of effcacy listings for team to do the data cleaning. I created data pipeline to conduct the data mapping and data merging for different studies to do the analysis. I also built some visualisation tools including Spider Plot, Tornado Plot, Swimmer Plot, etc., for team to better understand the data sets.
